Gord’s love of surveying developed during his formative teen years in the field, under his father’s expert guidance. Since his introduction to surveying and then the firm’s inception in 1991, he has adapted to the technological and legal changes of the surveying industry.

Gord thrives in an environment of challenge and change where he successfully manages multifaceted projects. As a relational manager, Gord enjoys training and directing his talented, able staff. Beyond managing systems and people, Gord is a focused and detail oriented researcher who never loses sight of “finding the one true boundary”.

As the Manager of Business Operations, Gord oversees and co-ordinates IBW’s seven offices; also, Gord has been instrumental in consolidating the records of twenty OLS firms. As someone who has the “end in view”, he inspires the IBW team to offer value added solutions, resulting in loyal client relationships. His tenacious “get it done” attitude is infectious; he carries forward his passion for innovation and surveying to each project.

Out of the office Gord finds time to help his community through volunteering with the Rotary Club of Bowmanville, coaching his children's sports teams and even playing basketball himself. Currently, Gord sits on the board of directors for the Durham Home Builders’ Association and the Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance.
